Our Lenten read is a modern book set In 1727 Leipzig. Stefan Silbermann is a grief-stricken thirteen-year-old, struggling with the death of his mother. Sent to boarding school, his beautiful singing voice is noticed by the school's cantor, Johann Sebastian Bach, changing Stefan's life forever.
